what's missing?

We're big fans of the Fast and the Furious films here. But likely not for the reasons you'd think. We'll share more about why we love Dom and his familia in future posts, but for now can you spot what's curiously missing from the above Interpol profile on Dom? (shoutout to kruz for spotting this out in literally the split second it was on screen!)

we have no idea whether or not Interpol in real life keeps [race] out of their profiles. just as much as race is a mechanism by which the surveillance state accomplishes its bureaucratic task of identification, it can just as much get in the way of identification especially when unidentified targets of surveillance are…mixed.

we can't help but find it very interesting that what's missing, indeed, should be missing; meaning, it's not a category that we endorse on existential and de-colonizing grounds. If the creatives behind F8 purposely left it out, well...cheers to them. It's just another example of why we love these films.
