WE CAN'T GO BACK. THE PAST IS ESCAPISM.BUT WE CAN'T STAY HERE. THE PRESENT IS NOT SUSTAINABLE.

a return to 'the way things were' is a sentiment shared by those incapable
of confronting the complexities of the present, and the unknowns of the future.
it is the nostalgia for 'simpler times' when the meta-narrative of man was still unquestioned,
when bigotry and violence were justifiable means to unrighteous ends.
the past is a violent and traumatic place to those who do not belong to it.
we can't go back.

BUT WE CAN'T STAY HERE. THE PRESENT IS NOT SUSTAINABLE.
